About the Colesville Area
The Colesville area of Silver Spring is located to the north of the "downtown" area and, while its boundaries are not officially defined, they are generally accepted to extend between the Northwest Branch to the west, the Paint Branch to the east, Cloverly to the north and the Springbrook area to the south (click here to see map).
It is home to a wide variety of styles and sizes of homes, predominately detached, single-family homes, but includes a smattering of townhomes as well. The area is well-served by high-performing public schools, county parks, rec centers and pools, neighborhood and community pools and swim clubs and supports a variety of local businesses including grocery stores, restaurants, dry cleaners, video stores, professional and medical offices and more. Public transportation is readily accessible with Metrobus routes, Park & Ride lots and easy access to a number of subway stations. It is also ideally located between Washington and Baltimore for easy commutes to either city.

About the Sherwood Forest Area
The Sherwood Forest neighborhood is located in the Colesville area of Silver Spring and generally is framed by New Hampshire Avenue to the east, Randolph Road to the south, Bonifant Road to the north and the Northwest Branch Park to the west. It is comprised of a collection of small subdivisions built as long ago as the 1950's with some new sections still being built today. For our purposes we're including the Westover Elementary boundary area as 'Greater Sherwood Forest' and including the Doral neighborhood which is outside the Westover boundaries but is still a part of the fabric of Sherwood Forest (see map).
One of the strengths of the area is the wide variety of styles and sizes of homes and the generous lot sizes (1/4 acre to 1+ acres) most are situated upon. In early spring the cherry blossoms are a sight to behold! Westover Elementary and the Robin Hood Swim Club serve as the focal points of the community and combine to form a very comfortable and inviting neighborhood core.
The area is ideally located for commuting into downtown D.C., Columbia, Baltimore, the University of Maryland at College Park, Bethesda and the I-270 corridor to the west.
The neighborhood combines a convenient, yet quiet, location with a friendly collection of residents and offers a pleasant and relaxed lifestyle!

Working With An Agent >Stand By Me
Real estate transactions are complicated and unpredictable. Professional real estate agents are trained to handle the many facets of buying a home. A good agent is an invaluable asset to your venture if you are in the market for a house.
When you find a real estate agent with whom you feel confident, it is good to enter into a committed working relationship with that person. Concentrating your search with one agent will allow that agent to become truly familiar with your needs, desires, and financial capacities.
Maintaining loyalty to the real estate agent of your choice will bear you more fruit than scattering your attention among several agents. An agent who feels your commitment will devote his or her entire energy to finding the right home for you.
