On a more personal level, as lifelong residents of Montgomery County, we have a unique perspective into what makes it such a special place to live. Not only did we grow up in the county, we've now had the pleasure of raising our three children just miles from our childhood homes. We've seen the county grow and change. We've seen the local schools, both public and private, as students and parents. We've watched the development of a world-class subway system and we've seen the entire region paralyzed by an inch of snow - year after year! From many parts of the county we - and you - can be downtown to the monuments or museums in thirty minutes, to Skyline Drive in the Blue Ridge Mountains in an hour, boating on Chesapeake Bay or eating crabs in Annapolis in forty minutes and to the Maryland and Delaware beaches in a couple of hours.
